Obituary for Tyler D. Ward

Tyler D. Ward, 38, Blue Springs, Missouri died July 19, 2012 at Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas. Tyler was born October 17, 1973, in Denver. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1992 and received an Associate’s Degree in Telecommunications from Northwest Kansas Technical College in 1994. He was united in marriage to Jan Chard and they later divorced.


He loved being out at the farm with his Dad looking after the buffalo. He loved spending time with his friends and family, listening to music, and riding his Harley Davidson.


Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Bob and Nikki Meistrell of Plainville; Wes Ward of Denver, Colorado; son, Christian Chard of Blue Springs, Missouri; daughter, Lilli Ward of Blue Springs, Missouri; girlfriend, Brenda Gardner of Parkville, Missouri; sister, Jaime Corbett and husband Jon of Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Robin Meistrell and newphew Warrick Baldwin of Franklin, Tennessee; paternal grandmother, Charlene Meistrell of Plainville; maternal grandparents, Dale and Jean Mason of Plainville; aunt, Denise David of Plainville; and first cousins, Tracey Post of Great Bend, and Kyle David of Plainville.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Don Meistrell.


Funeral Services are at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Plainville United Methodist Church with Pastor Daryl Sherraden officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainville City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.


Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Tyler Ward Children’s Fund or the Rooks County Health Center and may be sent in care of Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663. Condolences may be left for the family on our 'send your condolences' link.
