Julie Ann (Sanders) Pounds, 61, died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home in Satanta, Kansas. She was born on December 18, 1957 at Bakersfield, California to Mildred Julie (Camy) and Warren Clinton Sanders. She married Perry Arthur Pounds on August 18, 1979 in Bakersfield, California. They just celebrated their 40th year together. Julie worked at Satanta Grocery and Happy Agers, a senior center in Satanta. She enjoyed spending time with the people that would come in for lunch or to play cards. Julie was a crafter. She liked to use her hands sewing or painting items that Perry would make out of wood. Julie loved Snoopy and Tinkerbell and shared that love with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Perry of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Hill and husband Thad of Satanta; a son, Clinton Alexander “Alex” Pounds and wife Tia of Montezuma; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Jones and husband Terry of Bakersfield, California. She is preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 2, at Happy Agers in Satanta, Kansas.
