JAMES HAROLD BRANDENBURG, the widower of Imogene Boatright Brandenburg and the son of the late Carlos and Golda Kendrick Brandenburg, was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on May 19, 1930 and departed this life at his home in Heidelberg, Kentucky on July 22, 2017 at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 3 days. He was a retired machine operator for Minister Machines and a member of the Heidelberg Baptist Church. Mr. Brandenburg is survived by four children, Connie Smith and husband Keith of Beattyville, Kim Ransdell and husband Charles of Louisville, Kentucky, Jimmy Brandenburg and wife Cindy of Beattyville, and Tim Brandenburg and wife Connie of Prosper, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters, William Brandenburg of Ohio, Don Brandenburg of Goshen, Ohio, Mae Wooten of Louisville, Anne Richardson of Richmond, Kentucky, Tim Brandenburg of Irvine, Kentucky and Wilma Smith of Richmond, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Brandenburg was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Imogene; and four sisters, Madeline, Sylvia, Suzie, and Mary Grace.
