Chloe Roe, 92, of Carter passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care in Ashland.
She was born June 23, 1927 in Lewis County; a daughter of the late Otto and Laura Cooper Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harlin Curtis Roe; a son, Allan Roe; three brothers, Eugene Lewis, Emory Lewis, and Clifford Lewis; a great-grandson, Clayton Elliott.
Chloe was a member of the Carter Christian Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Bradley (Zelma) Roe, and Leo (Linda) Roe, both of Carter; three daughters, Sheila (Curt) Carper, Laura (Paul) Byrd both of Carter, and Aleta (Jerry) Daugherty of Murfreesboro, TN; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Roe of Grayson; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2019 at Carter Christian Church at 1:00 p.m., Roger McGlone, minister. Burial will follow in Stone Cemetery in Lewis County.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home and an hour before the service at the church.
