BRYANT, Cleston C. “Ted”, 94, of Louisville, passed away on May 12, 2017. He was born in Whitley County, KY. He volunteered to serve in the Army at Fort Knox at the start of WWII. Honorably discharged, he remained a proud Army veteran until his last breath. On a day’s leave at Fountain Ferry Park, Ted met the love of his life, Lelia Irene Fulkerson. Their marriage three months later lasted a few days shy of 74 years. Mr. Bryant was employed for many years at Seagram’s Distillery, retiring as senior manager of bottling operations. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years, Lelia I. Bryant; and his son, Gerald T. Bryant. He is survived by his daughter, Deana C. Bryant James (Leonard); granddaughter, Erin Bryant Odani (Rory); daughter-in-law, Sharon Sweet Bryant; and his two sisters, Shirley Phillips and Betty Couch. Services at Cave Hill Cemetery will be private. Highlands Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be contributed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
