James H. Yates | Visit Guest Book YATES, JAMES H., 90, passed away May 11, 2011 at Rockford Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of 1st Church of Nazarene, retired from BF Goodrich and was an Army veteran of World War II. James is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Stanley Boyd; brother, Bob Yates; and sister, Lois Camic. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth Vivian Yates; children, Jamesetta "Jamie" Boyd, Eddie Yates and Dwight Yates (Brenda); grandchildren, Bryan and Blake Turner and Sherri and Aaron Yates; great-grandchildren, Brandi, Kayla, Shelbie and Kimberly; two great-great grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Friday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
