Custer C. Picklesimer, age 94 of Paintsville, died Thursday April 18th in Prestonsburg, KY. Custer was born November 30, 1924 in Farmers, KY. to the late Oakley and Mallie Hitchcock Picklesimer. Custer proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was retired from the Johnson County PVA office. On March 10, 1951 in Paintsville, KY. he married Alice L. Picklesimer who survives. Also surviving is 1 son, Rudana (Emy) Coleman Picklesimer of Lexington; 2 daughters, Valerie C. (Greg) Murray of Paintsville and Cassie Picklesimer of Paintsville; 1 brother, Allen Picklesimer of Ohio; 1 sister, Helen Blair of Ohio and several nephews and nieces. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Friday from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. and after 11 A.M. Saturday. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday in the Preston Funeral Chapel with David Keith Castle officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
