Sheila Kay Shepherd age 54 of Pineville, KY, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at Fort Sanders Regional, Knoxville, TN. She was born January 30, 1966 to her loving mother, Pauline Keen Gambrel and Kenneth Carnes in Pineville, KY. Sheila loved her husband, her two daughters and her grandchildren were her entire world; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, mother-in-law and friend. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Fanny Carnes; aunt Geraldine (mama) Keen; special uncle Lonnie Isaac Carnes; special cousin Bobo Carnes; special friend Diane Givens; father-in-law James Willard Shepherd; brother-in-law Bill Shepherd and sister-in-law Tammy Hatfield. Survivors include her husband of 34 years Gary Shepherd; daughters Amber Abner (Matthew) who was like her son; Crystal Saylor (Tony) who was like her son as well; grandchildren Landen, Khloe, Kobe and Beckham “little peanut” and Garrison Blake her special bonus grandchild; brother and sister Kenneth (Kenny) Carnes Jr. and Rhonda (Harold) Baker; loving mother-in-law Emma Jean Shepherd; sisters-in-law Kimberly Cox (Arnold), Donna Cox (Paul), Miley Fishero (Mike) and Barbara Carnes; brothers-in-law John Shepherd (Melissa) and James Shepherd Jr.; nieces and nephews Michael Lee Potter, Candice Jade Potter, James Christopher Carnes, Jolene Michelle Carnes and Megan Schlesing; special friends Yvonne Napier and Kimberly Cox; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends. Celebration of life services will be Saturday June 13, 2020 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home after 11AM until 2PM; burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery, Newtown.
