Vina Brock Smith age 81, of Pineville, KY passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation, Barbourville, KY. She was born July 23, 1938 in Harlan County to the late Joseph and Lucy Brock. Vina was a Pineville business and rental property owner, she loved to shop, have dinners, the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival but mostly she loved her family and taking care of her baby sister. Vina was a member of the Old Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Smith; brothers Jonathan Brock, Dewey Brock and Arville Brock; sisters Zola Brock and Judy Brock. Survivors include her sisters Phronia Parker, Oma Helton, Mary Middleton and Alice (Mac) Mills; special niece Angie Jones; special nephew Tim (Patty) Brock and their son Jeremiah. She loved all her nieces, nephews and family members dearly. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home at 1PM with Rev. Bobby Grubbs and Rev. Mark Mahurin, music will be provided by the Old Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle Church choir; burial will follow in Judi Cemetery, Leslie Co, KY, with her nephews as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6PM until 9PM on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family.
