Funeral services for Mr. James H. Jenkins will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Aaron Theard officiating. Burial for Mr. Jenkins will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Deville, La. under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Visitation for Mr. Jenkins will be on Saturday at Gallagher Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 until service time. James Harlan Jenkins, age 82 of Pineville entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana. Mr. Jenkins was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Mr. Jenkins worked many years for Weiss and Goldring and Caplans. He also owned Jimmy J's Bar-b-que and was principal of Cenla Christian Academy. He loved animals (goats, hogs, dogs, peacocks) and raised and showed chickens. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, Ausey and Florence Jenkins; his brother, Tommy Jenkins and a great-grandson (which he is rocking in Heaven now) Grayson Price. Mr. Jenkins is survived by, in his own words, "the greatest wife ever, " Glenda Jenkins; a son, Russell Lambert (Alisha); two "special" grandchildren, Victoria Lambert Price (Ben) and Hunter C. Lambert and the mother of his grandkids, Keri Long, a special person in our lives... and "the reason he lived as long as he did"...a great Grandson, Skip Price; one sister, Gracie Marks and two brothers, Glen Jenkins (Sharon) and Ronnie Jenkins (Michelle) To extend online condolences for the Jenkins family, please visit www.Gallagherfh.com
