Brad Joseph DeFranceschi, Camp Ranger at Avondale Scout Reservation and a resident of Clinton was murdered at his home on Monday, October 9, 2017. He was 48 years old and was a US Navy veteran having served on the USS San Francisco 711. Visiting will be at Avondale Scout Reservation on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 from 5pm until 9pm and continues on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 from 12pm until service at 3pm. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kaylene. His children, Kylee and Kristopher. Mother, Barbara Jo Guillot, Father in law and mother in law, Todd and Kelly Quebedeaux. Step Dad, David L. Guillot. Brother, Ronald Scott Guillot, Brother in law, Tony Quebedeaux and sister in law, Rachel Quebedeaux. Step siblings, Kevin Rebaldo, Connie Rebaldo Stears, Caprice Guillot and Clint Guillot. Nieces and nephews, Chelsea Kay, Courtney Jo and Michael Shane Guillot and Lyla Pearl and Elijah Paul Quebedeaux and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Francis DeFrances. Pallbearers will be Shane, Kevin, David, John, Travis, Daniel, Ethan and EJ. Honorary pallbearers will be Road Kill Café Crew. Besides being a Camp Ranger at Avondale Scout Reservation, He was also the ATV Instructor and “Head Chef” at “Road Kill Café”. He was also a James E. West recipient. Brad attended Woodbadge Course S1-211-16 and was in A-Bears Patrol. Woodbadge is the highest training an adult leader can complete. He was also a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. Brad was the Committee Chairman, Popcorn Chairman and Tiger Den Leader for Pack 60 as well as being Unit Commissioner for Pack 60 and Troop 60. Crew 998, Brad served as Unit Commissioner, Committee Chairman, Registration Chairman, Co-Training Chairman and Key 3 Delegate. He was also the Chairman of Avondale Society and was overseeing the Walk of Honor at Camp Avondale. He enjoyed doing extensive research on the history of Camp Avondale and who played a part. Brad was involved in so many other things that didn’t have a “job title”. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to our immediate family, scouting family and all our friends for all the kind words, prayers, wisdom and outpouring of love given to us during this tragic time. And we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the Law Enforcement Agencies for their unwavering support, dedication and diligence during this time
