Funeral services for Catherine Pesnell of Choudrant, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 until time of service at the church. Catherine departed this world for her heavenly home and became Heaven’s little angel on September 3, 2019 at the age of 2. Catherine was a ray of sunshine and brought everyone much joy like a sunflower. she touched many people and was loved by so many. She was a kind tenderhearted little girl and was known for being goofy and silly, always the one to make you laugh. Most of all, Catherine was very strong and brave to face her battle with spina bifida with a smile on her face. Catherine is preceded in death by her nanny, Melba Woods. Survivors include her mother, Chasidy Pesnell of Choudrant, LA; step-father, Coty Davis of Choudrant, LA; brother, Colton Davis; nanna, Cori Pesnell; bap-bap, Thomas Alayan; great grandfathers, Mike Smith, and Jerry Pesnell; great grandmothers, Jo Smith, and Lois Pesnell; Aunts, Leah Lord, and Brittany Norred; uncles, Troy Lord, and Phillip Norred; cousins, Logan Lord, Lucas Lord, and Elizabeth Norred; her Ta-Ta, Leeann Evans; Also survived by a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the Mangham Home Health, and Heart of Hospice staff, and Little Helpers Daycare, and everyone who has cared and loved her, pastors, David Harrell, and Brad Jones, and members of Pleasant Grove Baptist church, Ricky McGrew, and special thank you to Griffin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Jerry Pesnell, Logan Lord, Shawn Porter, and David Davis.
