A celebration of life for Mr. Michael Joe Thurlkill of Choudrant, and native of El Dorado, AR, will be from 12:00PM until 4:00PM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at American Legion Post 10, 105 Christian Dr. El Dorado, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Michael was born July 11, 1972 in Grand Fork, ND and passed from this life unexpectedly on April 20, 2021 in Homer, LA at the age of 48. He graduated from Parkers Chapel High School and was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the B.A.C.A. and served in the United States Army National Guard. Michael loved spending time outside doing yard work on weekends. He also loved making beautiful art out of wood for people he loved and cared for. Michaels’ passion was riding his Harley on back country roads and enjoying the beautiful scenery. He was a true biker and warrior, and loved to be with his friends by a bonfire or get together and ride bikes. He was a kind, loving and caring man, and was always there helping someone in need. He had a warm smile and could always make people laugh. Michael loved meeting and talking to new people, for he could always make a friend anywhere he went. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Gail Ludlow and Rose Duke; grandparents, Edmond and Geraldine Thurlkill, Alfred and Betty Mason; and his niece, Brittany Lawrence. Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Candis Torres Carnahan of Choudrant; his mother, Nelda Joyce Tyler of El Dorado, AR; his father, Bruce E. Thurlkill of El Dorado, AR; one daughter, Casey Marie Thurlkill of Camden, AR; step-daughter, Jessica Deaton of El Dorado, AR; his brothers, Bruce Wayne Thurlkill of El Dorado, AR and Bruce “Jr.” Thurlkill of Jackson, MS; his sisters, Dana Daniels and husband, Dodee of Calion, AR, Amber Gray of El Dorado, AR, and Keisha Noble of Junction City, AR; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
