Verona Island- Alan Scott Brown, 56, died unexpectedly June 17, 2020 at the end of his daily walk. He was born on August 19, 1963 in Bangor, the son of Charles W. Brown and Joanne (Tenney) Jackson. Alan was a lifelong resident of Verona Island. He loved to read, take long walks, and watch movies. He was a kind, quiet man and a loving son and brother. He worked as a Security Guard for the paper mill in Bucksport for many years and after the mill’s closing at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He is survived by his mother Joanne of Bucksport, a brother Steven and wife Denise of Verona Island, two nephews, three nieces, and several aunts and numerous cousins who live all over the US. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Brown, a brother, Ronald Brown and his loving Nanie, Hilda Tenney. There will be a graveside services at the Silver Lake Cemetery on July 8, 2020 at 11:00am and a luncheon reception outdoors at the Elm Street Congregational Church after the service.
