Bucksport- Anna E. Scott, 80, peacefully passed away Friday May 24, 2019, at Westgate Center, with her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren by her side. She was born the daughter of Alton M. and Belvah (Leach) Gross on April 6, 1939. She was a hardworking, successful businesswoman and chose her career in banking. She was the manager of Seaboard Federal Credit Union for several years and went on to work for Penobscot Federal Credit Union, from which she retired. Anna loved to cook, enjoyed gardening, and loved to go sailing with her late husband, Dean. Nana Anna is survived by two grandchildren, whom took care of her during the last months of her life. Granddaughter Jessica Gray, husband Nathaniel, and their children Tyson and Kaylee. Grandson Todd Jason Gifford, wife Cassandra and their children Ayzlynn, Daxton and Ryker. Nana Anna is also survived by her son Mark Gifford, his children Nye and Whitney, daughter Louanne Littlefield and her son William Bebb. Three siblings Belle Bridges, Beatrice Roy and Gerry Gross, a very special niece Kim Gifford as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her faithful canine companion and friend Buffy Anne also survives her. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by the love of her life Gherald Dean Scott, her son Todd Gifford and siblings Lois, Milton and Cuddy Gross. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff of Westgate Center for their kind, compassionate, and loving care of Anna during her short stay there. A graveside service will be held in August, at a time to be announced, at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to Westgate Center Activity Department 750 Union Street Bangor, ME 04401.
