Livermore Falls – Bernal A. Lake, 64, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Sunday, November 19th at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness. He was born June 4, 1953 in Farmington, the son of Elmer Lake and Louise (Paradis) Lake. He was a 1971 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and continued his education at Central Maine Technical Institute in Auburn. On September 27, 1975 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, he married Jeannine Castonguay and they made their home and raised their family on Moose Hill in Livermore Falls. He worked for Paul Begin as a carpenter, and later worked for International Paper Company until 1987. Bernal was a hard-working man. He started Moose Hill Builders and through his craftsmanship he used his passion to help others in need. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and served for many years on the planning board and as a selectman for the Town of Livermore Falls. He enjoyed farming and raising cows. He is survived by his mother, Louise Lake of Fayette, his wife of 42 years, Jeannine Lake of Livermore Falls, his son, Charles Lake and fiancé Lynn Perkins of Wilton, his daughters, Helaina Lake and companion Robert Salvato of Livermore Falls, and Kathrynn Lake of Old Orchard Beach, 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Kaden and Aden, his brothers, Reginald Lake and his wife Anna of Jay, Greg Lake and his wife Joy of Livermore Falls, Rodney Lake and his wife Laurie of Livermore Falls, and Jeffrey Lake and his wife Beth of Naples, his sisters, Lorinda Sargent of Vermont and Benita Berry of Fayette. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer Lake.
