Beverly McIver Berry Obituary

Beverly McIver Berry, 86, a resident of Livermore, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 19th at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 4, 1931 in Jay, the daughter of Forrest L. McIver and Dorothy (Bryant) McIver. Beverly attended school in Topsham and Livermore Falls and was a 1951 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On September 1, 1951 she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Berry of Livermore at the Livermore Falls Baptist parsonage by Rev. Stuart Kinley. Together they raised three children, Susan, Stephen and Debra. They made their lifetime home at the family farm on Berry Hill in Livermore. Bev was a very loving wife and mother and was truly dedicated to making her house a home. She was an excellent cook and loved providing for her family. For years she enjoyed canning and preserving fruits and vegetables from the family gardens and orchards. She was well known for her delicious apple cake, brownies and cookies, which she would often serve the packing house crew at break-time. She and Tom were baptized together in April 1954 at the Livermore Falls Baptist Church by Rev. Ernest Ireland. Beverly was a member of the North Livermore Baptist Church and serving in the choir, as a Sunday school teacher, and as a deacon. For many years, she served as the chair on the bereavement committee for the church. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, spending time at their camp on Long Pond which was made into their permanent home in 2012. She and Tom often held cookouts, card games and family gatherings. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Berry of Livermore, her children, Susan True and her husband Daniel of Bangor, Stephen Berry and wife Michelle of Livermore and Debra Hebert and her husband Kevin of Jay, 9 grandchildren; Kristi Fravel, T.J. True, Melissa Crosby, Adam Berry, Aron Hardy, Micaela & Caleb Baron, Ben and Lauren Hebert and 6 great-grandchildren: Allie & Alex Fravel, Gavin and Owen Glanville-True and Tegan and Tucker Berry. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Paris McIver and sister, Mary Lou McIver. The family would like to give a special thanks to doctors and staff at Montello, Androscoggin Home Health, and the Hospice House. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday, June 22nd at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Interment Pleasant View Cemetery, 51 Fayette Road, Livermore Falls, Maine.
