Lewiston – Linwood T. Pease, 81, a resident of East Livermore, died Monday, November 19th at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. He was born November 24, 1930 in Temple, the son of Carroll A. Kennedy and Doris V. Merchant and adopted by Howard and Gladys (Runnels) Pease. Linwood was a graduate of Skowhegan High School. On June 30, 1951 at St. Rose of Lima Church he married his wife of 61 years, Pauline Moreau of Jay. Linwood worked as a farmer all his life, but also worked at Fairview Creamery, Record Foundry, Chisholm Fruit, in Livermore Falls, Oscar Turner’s in Livermore, Clint Waite in Leeds as a draftsman, and Pike’s Corner Oasis in East Livermore as a breakfast cook, being known for “Linwood’s Famous Omelet”. He also served as a Civil Defense Coordinator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, mowing his lawn and time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife Pauline Pease of East Livermore; two sons, Ronald Pease and his wife Angela of Fayette; and Michael Pease and his wife Bonnie of Wayne; three daughters, Debra Barnard and her husband Dick of Livermore Falls; Lisa Griffin and her husband Steve of El Paso, Texas; and Rosemary Tope and her husband David of Raymond; his daughter-in-law, Karen Pease of Sarasota, Florida, 26 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson, Cohen Michael Severance, 3 sisters, Phyllis Manter, Sandra Webber and Evangeline Tartt all of Farmington, his brother-in-law, Felix Hurtado and his wife Virginia of Iowa, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Pease, a son-in-law, Tim Barker, sister, Evelyn Hurtardo and his brother, Malcolm Pease. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 24th at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Friday, November 23rd at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
