Robert Stevens MACHIAS, Maine Obituary

Robert Stevens

Robert Peter Stevens Machias It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Robert Peter Stevens, age 40, our most beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and family member left this earth suddenly on Tuesday November 12, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born in Machias May 1, 1979 . Those who got to know Robert (Bobby, Bub, Ralph) knew him as a gentle giant. He was the most giving person anyone could ever know. He will be remembered for infectious belly laughs, giant heart, his love for online gaming, competitive nature, his love of hunting and fishing, his undying love for the New York Giants and of course his love for his family and close friends. Bobby spent all his life in Machias. He was a 1997 graduate of Machias High School. He went on to work at Hannaford and also worked side by side with his father in the forest industry. An injury to his back eventually made it impossible to continue working. Bobby was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 27, but stayed strong and fought the hard fight. Bobby was still in remission at the time of his passing. Bobby will be sadly missed everyday by his mother, Cindy Stevens of Augusta, Maine; his father Robert Stevens of Machias, Maine; his sister and brother-in-law Shannon and Michael Reece of Machias, Maine; brother and sister-in-law John and Heidi Huntington of Suwannee, Georgia; nieces Alycia Huntington and Briahna Reece; nephews Joshua Huntington and Gavin Reece; maternal grandparents Rita and Bob Hanning of Randolph, Maine; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bobby was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents Roxana and Everett Stevens of Machias, Maine. We believe in our hearts that our Bobby is in a better place where he has no pain, no cancer and best of all he is finally walking tall. Forever loved and never forgotten.
