Bangor- Elsie A. Bartlett, 96, passed away peacefully at Ross Manor in Bangor on April 30, 2017. She was born in Blue River, Quebec on May 12, 1920 to William Thomas Scott and Annette Bechard, and lived in St Francis, Maine until moving to Portage upon her marriage to Kenneth Bartlett in 1940. She later spent six years living and working in Connecticut before moving to Millinocket in 1979. Elsie had many friends from all over Northern Maine and will be missed by them all. She loved to cook, and until recently, cooked her own meals, and always had plenty for any friends who happened to drop by. She is survived by son Robert and wife Linda; son Richard and wife Suzanne; daughter-in-law Carol; son Michael and wife Sandy; eleven Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by son Bruce; brothers Elmer, Andrew, Clifford and Arthur; and sisters Lillian, Helen and Pauline. At her request, there will be no visiting hours or service. Private burial will take place at Millinocket cemetery later on in the spring. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
