East Millinocket – Gerald S. Austin, Sr., 77, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. He was born May 16, 1939 in Wytopitlock, the son of Earl and Gladys (Dishon) Austin. Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing poker on the weekends with family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dola (Cropley) Austin; children, Marleen, Cathy and her fiancé Lloyd, David and his wife Joy, Ronda and Danny, Candy and her husband Gary, Dawn and her husband Rick, Gerald and his wife Rella, Steve and his wife Crystal; fourteen grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren that he enjoyed very much; a sister, Fayette; two brothers, Conrad and Desi; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Ronald. Friends are invited to visit with the family 5-8 P.M. Monday, April 3 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Avenue, East Millinocket.
