PHOTO Margaret A.”Peggy” Wallace Medway – Margaret A. “Peggy” Wallace, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 4 after many years of fighting different health issues, most recently kidney failure. She was born February 27, 1946 in Caribou, the daughter of George E. and Aurore M. (Thibodeau) Hale. Peggy had a love of slot machines, shopping, finding jobs for Jimmy, vacations, and the lights of her eyes, her five grandchildren, three great grandchildren - plus she was looking forward to a new great grandchild in December. She was an excellent cook and loved family gatherings. Peggy also loved her flower gardens as well as boat rides at camp. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Peggy is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Wallace; her three children, Jaimie Wallace and wife Michelle, Kim Lyons and husband Robert, and Mark Wallace and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Joshua and Cassandra Wallace, Morgan and Brandon Ballard; Whitney and Christopher Yorston, Jared Lyons, and Madison; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lily, and Jameson; five siblings, Paul and Doris Hale, Harold Hale, Richard and Kathy Hale, Patricia Burleigh, and Jeffrey and Heidi Hale; a brother-in-law, Peter Kozlowski and sisters-in-law, Ruth Hale, Susan Grisham, and Mitzi Wallace; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings Ruth Kozlowski, John Galen Hale, George Gary Hale; mother and father-in-law, Gordon Leonard and Geraldine Wallace, and a brother and sister-in-law Jere and Bonnie Wallace. The family would like to extend a special thank you to DaVita Dialysis in Lincoln for the special care and courtesies extended to Peggy during her treatments there. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-5 P.M. Thursday, June 8 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, June 9 at the East Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Peggy may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462.
