Millinocket & Etna – Minerva E. Proctor, age 88, died peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 20177 at Katahdin Health Care. She was born March 27, 1929, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Ethel (Clark) Proctor. She was devoted to her lifelong friend and companion, Judy Gore who loves her very much and to her large family, especially her niece, Sharon (Gantnier) Darling who she always treated like a beloved daughter. She took pride in her jobs over the years at B&M Beans, Grants, and Kmart. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Hampden. Until she got sick, she was a very devout member of the Catholic Church at St. Matthew/St. Gabrielle in Hampden/Winterport. She will be sadly missed by Judy, Sharon and her family. Minerva is survived by her brothers Richard Proctor and wife, Kathy, of Orrington, and James Proctor of FL, sisters-in-law, Valerie Proctor of VA and Carolyn Gray of Orrington, brothers-in-law, Louis Gantnier of NC and Lyle Gray of Millinocket and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Wilma White, Patrica Gray and Joan Gantnier and brothers, John, Jr., Herbert, and Wesley. We would like to thank all the staff at the Katahdin Health Care for their loving care of Minerva during the last five years of her life. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 23 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket with Fr. Bruce Siket, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in the Millinocket Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P. O.
