Port Clyde- Joseph Clyson Coffin, passed away at The Sussman House in Rockport on November 3rd, 2019 with the comfort of his family by his side. Joe was born on July 12th, 1946 in Rockland, Me. to parents Joseph W. and Virginia Rawley Coffin. Joe graduated from Rockland District High School in the class of 1964. Joe served in the United States Air Force. Joe was proud to be a member of Eureka Lodge # 84 AF&AM , Naomi Chapter #25 OES, St. George 100F #134, Miriam Rebekah Lodge #33, Oceanview Grange #463, American Legion Post #34 all of St. George, ME. Warrior Run Area Fire Dept, Watsontown, PA, Independent Hose # 1, Loyal Order of Moose, Ivanhoe Chapter #28 OES, Tiadaghton, CT. #136 Order of Amaranth. All of Jersey Shore, PA along with Forty & Eight of Montandon, PA. and Zafar Grotto of South Williamsport PA. Joe is survived by his wife Ann of 40 years along with his grandmother Dorothy Sears of Rockland, ME. A time of visitation will be held for Joe on Saturday, November 9th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Port Clyde Baptist Church, 861 Port Clyde Road, Port Clyde, Maine with an Eastern Star and Masonic Memorial Service at 12:45 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Russell LaFlamme and Pastor Stephen Maxwell officiating. Burial will take place immediately after the service at the Ridge Cemetery in Martinsville where Air Force honors will be given. The family requests that donations in Joe’s memory be sent to the Port Clyde Baptist Church, 861 Port Clyde Road, Port Clyde, ME. 04860 Hall of Thomaston has care of the arrangements.
