Julia Mae Weaver, 90, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2013 at the Penbay Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 11, 1922 in Castine, ME the daughter of the late Leon and Ella Bakeman. She grew up in Castine and attended local schools. After her schooling she married Clifton W. Weaver and the two moved to Thomaston where they would settle and live for the rest of their lives. She was a home maker and enjoyed every minute of it. Her house was the hub of the neighborhood and many children would share a meal or a snack with her and her family. She loved each and every one of her kids and was proud of all of their various accomplishments. She was caring person and had a heart of gold. She was a fantastic cook and was famous for her clam fritters. She loved being able to spend time with her grand children, great grand children, and great great grandchildren. She loved sitting on her swing on her front porch when the weather was nice and always looked forward to the annual family gatherings on the fourth of July and Christmas and Christmas Eve at her daughter Joyce’s house. She loved to play Beano and would play every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until she fell ill and could not continue on. She was predeceased by her loving Husband Clifton W. Weaver Sr. Survivors include her children Clifton Weaver Jr., of Thomaston, ME Joyce Poland and her husband Orman of Cushing, ME Gloria Lloyd of St. George, ME Dennis Weaver and his wife Cheryl of Thomaston, ME Brother Norwood Bakeman and his wife Theresa of Bucksport, ME Sisters Lena Bakeman of Castine, ME Lenora Brockmyer of Bucksport, ME Grandchildren: Alan Poland and his wife Dianne, Jeffrey Poland, and his wife Lisa, Phillip Poland and his wife Megan, Darryl Boynton and his wife Shelley, Angela Dorr and her husband Leroy, Casey Weaver, Amber Weaver, Jessie Weaver, Matthew Weaver, Michael Weaver Great Grandchildren; Nicole, Cody, Benjamin, Matthew, Jeffrey Jr., Dayton, Hazel, Robert, Shaunna Tolman and her husband Travis, Keigh, Ryker, Zoey Great Great Grandchildren Addison, Kaylee, and Alayna A graveside service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2013.
