Richard Feyler

Richard “Dick” W. Feyler passed away peacefully on Saturday September 28, 2013 at Maine Medical Center in Portland with his loving family by his side after a long period of failing health. He was born in Everett, MA on June 19, 1939 the son of the late Wallace and Vera Morse Feyler. He was a graduate of Thomaston High School class of 1957. After school he joined the United States Air Force serving our country from 1957-1962. In 1958 he married his high school sweetheart Betsy Gay and the two began their long journey of life together, recently celebrating the 55 year anniversary. The two ran Driftwood Restaurant in Thomaston from 1965 to 1974. After finishing at the Driftwood a career at UPS as a delivery driver was started working for them for over 25 years before retiring in 1999. Betsy and Dick enjoyed many trips in their camper to Florida and making friends along the way. In his spare time he would drive a gravel truck for Henry Crane Service. Dick was also a past Captain with the Thomaston Fire Department for many years. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was predeceased by a much loved son Keith Feyler Brother Bob Feyler Sisters Dotty Moulaisen Betty Olsen Survivors include his loving wife of over 55 years Betsy Feyler of Warren, ME Daughter Kathy Feyler and her companion Howard Whelden of Belfast, ME Son Kyle Feyler of West Palm Beach, FL Grandson Trey Feyler of Belfast, ME Favorite Granddaughter Samantha Jones and her husband Corey of Cushing, ME Great Grandson Parker Keith Jones Sister Peggy Libby of Union, ME Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
