Obituary for Joan J. King

Caswell--- Joan J. King, 63, died unexpectedly May 18, 2013, at her home. She was born Nov. 2, 1949 in Van Buren, a daughter of Percy and Theresa (Chamberlain) Berube. She worked at Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Caribou, for over 25 years. Joan was a devoted member of St. Joseph Church, Hamlin, and was a former Eucharistic Minister and Religious Education Coordinator. She is survived by: her mother, Theresa Berube of Van Buren; two sons, Roger and his wife Lori of Hancock and Scott and his wife Stephanie of Limestone; one daughter, Gail Cyr and her husband Steven of Hampden; four sisters, Elaine Cote and her husband Larry of Caswell, Diane Deeves and her husband Robert of Hamlin, Lorraine Powers and her husband Albert of Limestone, and Blanche Street and her husband Barry of Nebraska; two brothers, Michael Berube of Limestone and Percy Berube, Jr. and his wife Doreen of Van Buren; and four grandchildren, Kyle, Casey, Rebecca and Marcus. She was predeceased by her husband Roger w. King, Sr., her father Percy Berube, Sr., a brother Roger Berube, and her long time companion, Sheldon Lyons. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, May 22, at St. Joseph Church, Hamlin, from 10:30 AM until the time of service. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, ME.
