Fay Richardson Waldoboro, Maine Obituary

Fay Richardson

Fay Edith Richardson, beloved daughter of Frances C. Richardson and beloved sister to Frances Ellen Richardson has passed peacefully on to the wonderful graces of Jehovah. She had a great love of God and her testimony, song and spirit of love intertwined with humor, vip and vinegar rang through the community. In many ways, Fay was a great teacher. Her gifts were not in mathematics, science or English but in humor, openness, kindness, forgiveness and love. She accepted everyone as a friend. She would always try to make people laugh by being silly or acting out some cartoon. She conversed with people about their children remembering their children’s names, their dogs or cats. In her younger years, she loved to go to the library weekly in Friendship and her name is in many books however she could never learn how to read or write. She always enjoyed going to church and had a beautiful voice. She loved to lead the choir from her seat at church and no one seemed to mind. She had many friends that watched over her from the Advent Christian and Methodist churches. She regarded them all as her family. She brought forth the best in people allowing them to appreciate their own God given abilities and skills. Her hobbies included shopping, feeding the birds, watching movies, bowling, knitting and going out to eat. Her specialness was enjoyed by all and she had something to say about everything. Fran and Fay would like to thank all of the members of the Friendship Advent Christian Church for their prayers, thoughts and kindness. A private graveside service will be held at the Village Cemetery in Friendship, with Reverend Alan Chamberlain officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fay’s name to the Friendship Ambulance Service Fund, c/o Town of Friendship, P.O. Box 207, Friendship, Maine 04547 or the Women’s Advent Christian Penny Crusade, P.O. Box 9, Friendship, Maine 04547. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.hallfuneralhomes.com Arrangements are entrusted to the Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 949 Main St. Waldoboro, ME.
