Lewis Havener

Lewis Austin Havener, 69, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 26, 1941 in Waldoboro, the son of the late Austin and Louise Burns Havener. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1967. He enjoyed camping at Lake Pemaquid, playing cards, dancing, taking long rides on the weekends, watching his granddaughter, Rebecca, play tennis and basketball and hanging around with his special friends, Brian and Bertha Foote and Jim and Kathy McGuire. He was a member of the Knights of Pythius and the Warren Odd Fellows. He was a meat cutter for 20 years at various stores. He was employed at B.I.W. for 18 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia A. Havener, of Friendship, ME Daughters, Rhonda Havener, of Friendship, ME Debbie Havener, of Rockland, ME Grandchildren, Justin Brazier, of Friendship, ME Thomas and Paige Powell, of Friendship, ME Hailey Brazier, of Waldoboro, ME Rebecca Robinson, of Friendship, ME Brother-in-law, Virgil Simmons and his wife, Susan, of Friendship, ME Sisters-in-law, Brenda Willey, of Waldoboro, ME Sandra Mank, of Waldoboro, ME Pamela Simmons, and her companion, Carroll Willey, of Waldoboro, ME Diana Benner, and her husband, Wayne, of Friendship, ME Andrea Bragg, and her husband, William, of Waldoboro, ME Special Aunt, Gladys Fullerton, of Rockland, ME Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beloved Pomeranian, “Brady” A memorial service, with Military Honors, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro. A reception will follow the service at the home of Virgil and Susan Simmons, Cushing Road, Friendship.
