David "Country Dave" Shelton, 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Kline Hospice House. Dave was born September 13, 1954 in Frederick to the late Elmer J. and D. Pauline Shelton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Diana Carol Shelton, a brother Larry Johnson Shelton (on January 21, 2015), and a niece Carol Diane Mackie. Dave was self employed at Shelton Construction. He loved spending time at Riverbend, enjoying his pontoon boat, country music, spending time with family and many friends, karaoke, drag racing his 1971 Duster at Mason Dixon, and playing music; most recently in the band, Stonehouse. Dave loved Christmas and the holidays. He is survived by the love of his life, Gina Lawson of Frederick, a son, Romeo Shelton and his fiance Pam Sullivan, also of Frederick, grandchildren Tyler Laverick, USN, and Ashly Divico of Frederick, sisters; Karen Griner of Frederick and Shirley Giesler and husband James of Hagerstown, a brother; John Biehl and wife Mary Jane of Frederick. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11 AM. Rev. Clyde Morseberger to officiate. Interment private. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Kline Hospice House via Hospice of Frederick County, P.O.
