Virginia I. Pearson

Virginia I. Pearson, 98, formerly of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at University Heights Health and Living Community, Indianapolis, IN. Born February 2, 1917, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Lenora Irby. She resided in Hagerstown until 2002 when she moved to Indianapolis to be close to her daughter. She was a teller with All First Northern Avenue Branch Bank until she retired in 1981. She was one of the oldest living members of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Her husband, George C. Pearson preceded her in death in April of 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Pat (John) Greene, Indianapolis, IN; a granddaughter, Margaret (Andrew) Barkocy, Indianapolis, IN; a grandson, Darren (Jill) Greene, Columbus, OH; six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, September 4th at 1:00 pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Burial will be private in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at noon on Friday.
