Roberta Virginia Lindsay Obituary

Roberta Virginia Lindsay, 82, of Hampstead, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born March 14, 1939 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Curtis O. Wilcox and Dorothy Ruth (Riley) Wilcox. She was the wife of the late Whitmer E. "Pete" Lindsay, Jr., her husband of 59 years, who died in 2016. Roberta was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hampstead, where she belonged to the ELCA. She was also a member of the auxiliary of Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are her daughter, Deborah J. Lindsay of Hampstead and her long time companion, Patrick Liebknecht of Reisterstown; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen E. and Pamela Lindsay of Glenville, PA; honorary grandchildren, Megan Stevens, Lauren Stringham, and Ryan Dilworth; and honorary great-grandchildren Grace Stevens, Jude Stevens, Reed Stevens, Bay Stevens, and Nora Stringham. She was predeceased by brothers Robert Wilcox and Kenneth Merson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. Her pastor, the Rev. Andy Carr will officiate. Interment will follow in Hampstead Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 249, Hampstead, MD 21074.
