Allison Victoria Parker of Hurlock, Maryland took wings on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Maryland surrounded by her loving family. She was 64. She was born on April 8, 1951 in Cambridge, Maryland. She was the second daughter of the late Alfred Henry Parker and the late Demar Enola Woolford Parker. Allison was educated in Dorchester County schools graduating from North Dorchester High School in the class of 1969. She worked for 25 plus years upon graduation at Coldwater Seafood, Cambridge, MD. After leaving there, she went back to college obtaining her BA Degree from Sojourner Douglas College in Early Childhood Education -- she taught at Small Wonders in Seaford, Delaware for 10 years and at Shore Up Head Start in Cambridge, Maryland. Her final employment was with Delmarva Community Health, Inc. as a Home Health Coordinator for four years. Allison attended Hurlock United Methodist Church serving as an active member from an early age--as Usher, children's choir, youth choir, Sunday School/Teacher, Gospel Travelers Group, 100 Voices Choir Group, Worship Leader/Lay Leader for over 20 years, Hospitality Committee, Peninsula Delaware Conference Representative, and Vacation Bible School/Teacher. She also was a teacher and volunteer at the Harriett Tubman Center. Allison leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Marlon Everett Parker (close friend) Stacey Barnette and granddaughter, McKenna Grace Parker all of Hurlock, MD; Lettie Mae Young, grandmother of East New Market, MD; her siblings, Delphine Slaughter (Austin) Hurlock, MD; Florine Elbert (Charles) Hurlock, MD; Veda Fisher (Kenny) New Castle, DE; Ivan Parker (Renee) Upper Marlboro, MD; Claudia Jolley Laurel, MD; Gloria Farrare Easton, MD; Jacqueline Beulah Federalsburg, MD; Faye Allsup (Richards, Jr.) Cambridge, MD; Deborah Jolley Trenton, New Jersey; Willis Jolley (Darlene) Trenton., New Jersey; (Sister/Cousin) Diane Hubbard (Selbe), Millington, MD; Sister, Dr. Kay Elvey (Kenny) Hurlock, MD and God-Daughter, Dawn Chandler; also a host of aunts. uncles. nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her nephew Eric Nathaniel Austin and niece Erica Enola Austin.
