Eunice Jones

To everything there is a season and time to be born. Eunice Lenora Jones, at the age of ninety-five (95), departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at University of Maryland Medical Center at Dorchester in Cambridge, Maryland. She was born on June 27, 1922 to the late John Farrare and Bertie Baltimore Jones in Rhodesdale, Maryland. She was employed with several jobs, before working for the Rob Roy’s Sewing Company in Cambridge, Maryland from which she retired. She was a faithful and devoted member of The National Church of God in Hurlock, Maryland and Cambridge Maryland. Eunice was a very humble and mild mannered woman who was very giving. She loved the Lord with her whole heart. Eunice was married to the late Marshall Jones for 52 years before his death. From this union they had seven children—Lycurtis, Delores, Clevon, Parthenia, Clifton, Edward and JoAnne. “Lena,” as she was affectionately known, leaves to celebrate her life: seven children, Lycurtis (Beulah) Jones of Aireys, Maryland, Delores Jones, Cambridge, Maryland, Clevon (Paulette) Jones, Salisbury, Maryland and Parthenia (Hansel) Greene of Cambridge, Maryland, Clifton (Shirley) Jones of Delmar, Maryland, Edward Jones of Blades, Delaware and JoAnne Dickerson of Cambridge, Maryland; 30 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Lakisha Collins whom she raised as her own; one sister, Barbara (Leon) Malone of Concord, Delaware; one aunt Hilda White of Baltimore, Maryland; four special nieces, Debbie Farrare and Joyce (Mike) Farrare of Salisbury, Maryland, Charlene Harris of Baltimore, Maryland and Nona Tillery of Reids Grove, Maryland; one sister-in-law Lucinda Mae Jones of Cambridge, Maryland; one brother-in-law, Arthur Jones of Bridgeville, Delaware; special cousins, Vernon Farrare of Reid Grove, Maryland, Vastie Walker of Reids Grove, Maryland and Lilly Mae Young of Hawkeye, Maryland and Odell Henry of Baltimore, Maryland. “Momma Lena’s” children also include Charlstene, Cynthia, Chauncey, Ronnie, Joyce and Jeanie; two friends, Olivia Thorpe and Lucinda Riley and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
