Joseph Aaron “Pettie” Adams said farewell to the world and “hello” to heaven on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 12:19 pm at Easton Memorial Hospital, Easton, MD surrounded by family and friends. Joseph (Pettie) was born on February 15, 1941 to the late Roland A. and Magaline Adams in Cabin Creek, Maryland. Joseph was educated in the Dorchester County Public School System. He graduated from Mace Lane High School in the class of 1959 . He acquired his B.S. Degree in Business Administration while serving his country in the United States Marines. Joseph was employed until the time of his death by Chester Wye. “Mr. Joe”, will be missed terribly. During his career his employment included: Coldwater, General Foods; (Kraft), Amtrak and Stroehmann Bakery. He was married on April 9, 1978 to Barbara J. Gale and the two of them created a new family of six children. Joseph was preceded in death by his eldest son, Ray. A. Greene, Sr. To always remember him with love is his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara; his remaining children, Jolyn Stanley (Ricky) of Linkwood, MD, Casandra “Vette” Stanley of Cambridge, MD, Debra Adams of Wilmington, DE, Roland “Aaron” Adams (Brigitte) of West Coast and Martha Hamilton (Robert) of Chance, MD; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Greene; 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; two aunts, Ida Mae Robinson and Lucille Dotson; one god-daughter, Davina Gibbs and a host of cousins and very close friends.
