JT Mosley Obituary

On October 18, 2014, our beloved JT Mosley known as “Bert” went peacefully home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was 82 years old. He passed away at Shore Health-Memorial Hospital at Easton, MD. JT was born in Sparta, Georgia on August 22, 1932 to the late Janie B. Winkfield. He was educated in the Sparta school system. At an early age, he moved to Chester, Pennsylvania where he worked at the Phoenix Steel Mill and the Atlantic Steel Mill before retiring from the shipyard in the Port of Wilmington. He was an active member of Local 413 Laborers International Union of North America of Chester and Teamsters Local 326 of Delaware. Later in his life, he moved to Maryland. JT was a member of the Hurlock United Methodist Church. He devoted his time to his wife, his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking for family gatherings and watching old western movies as he would call them “old shoot ‘em ups”. He loved to travel. He told his wife,jokingly,he was going to take her on the midnight train to Georgia. JT leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife, Delores Mosley; his children, Kevin Mosley, Derrick Mosley (Deneen) of Chester, PA; James Johnson (Maria) of San Antonio, TX; Darrall Mosley (Danita) of New Castle, DE; Barry Moore of Atlantic City, NJ; Margaret Veney and Cynthia Holmes (Leon)of Newark, DE; Lametha Elbert of Preston, MD; Dandrea Kittles of Milford, DE; Raynard Kittles (Tara) of Fruitland, MD; Nina Humphreys and Chantay Kittles of Hurlock, MD; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Mayo; two brothers, Thomas Mosley (Camilla) and Jesse Harper (Alice) of Chester, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by children, Theresa Johnson, Ursula Tombs, Michael Johnson and Pamela McClary; sister, Betsy Warren; and son-in-law, Charles Humphreys. He will truly be missed by all.
