Where as on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Almighty God stopped by Chesapeake Woods Nursing Center in Cambridge, Maryland and called Richard Kemp’s name at the age of 100 years old. He was born on May 5, 1914 in Nassau, Bahamas to the late Jean Majors and Laban Kemp and was the oldest of nine children. He only had a sixth grade education. He later moved to Rhodesdale, Maryland and worked at the Pickle House. He met and married the late Cleo Jolly Kemp. He later moved to Petersburg, Maryland and built a home himself. He took Cordell as a son. He leaves to cherish his memories ten nieces and nephews: Leroy and Brenda of Louisiana; Alexander of Delaware; Martin and Ann of New Jersey; David of Washington (State); Alfred and Tisanya of New Jersey; Patsy, Aloma, Harriet and Janet of New York; Millicent of Washington (State); all Kemps, Geneva Davis and Iris Williams of Hurlock, Maryland. Richard was the communicator of the family. He will be missed very much.
