Irving Polk

Irving Lawrence Polk, Sr. was born on January 2, 1944 in Salisbury, Maryland to the late Raymond and Hettie Polk. Irving departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Bozo as he was affectionately known by family and friends was educated in the Somerset County Public School System. He was known as the great fisherman of the family. You could always find him somewhere telling old family tales. In 1967 he met and married Cynthia King and from this union four children were born. Irving leaves to cherish fond memories with his wife of 46 years, Cynthia Polk of Salisbury, MD; one son; Irving Polk, Jr. of Salisbury, MD; three daughters; Neressa White of Salisbury, MD, Janine Wilson of Atlanta, GA and Crystal Lariosa (Gil) of Jacksonville, FL; six sisters; Lucille Jones (Oliver), Lottie Moses, Beatrice Polk, Ida Polk, Rita Polk and Jennie Chase (Percy); one brother, David Polk (Joyce) all of Princess Anne. A mother-in-law, Mary Christopher; one-sister-law, Mary Milbourne; one brother-in-law; Roger Christopher (Gwen). Seven grandchildren; Tevin White, Christopher White, Destiny Polk, Dionte Polk, Kailey Wilson, Kyle Wilson and Taylor Polk and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Raymond Polk, Jr., Walker Polk, Earl Polk, Ephriam Polk, Glenmore Cannon, Charles Polk, Bessie Ballard and Bernice Stevenson.
