Virginia attended Salisbury High School in Salisbury, Maryland, graduating with the class of 1963. After High School she went to New York City to pursue a career in cosmetology. Due to her grandparents failing health, she returned home to care for them. Virginia worked tirelessly as a caretaker and devoted grand-daughter to her grand-parents until their passing. She was employed for a number of years at Roland Dixon Farms alongside her brothers. She began working some years later for the Purple Pony Shirt Company as a seamstress, where she was treated like family and considered a loyal and valued employee and friend. Virginia retired from the Purple Pony Shirt Company after many years of service. Virginia was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who loved to knit fashionable pillows as a craft and small business venture. She loved to make dresses for her grand-daughters when they were young. She especially loved to dance, play cards, and enjoy family gatherings in her home where even friends of family were considered family. She was the voice of reason by comedian standards. Her overwhelming spirit, laughs and love will be missed by all who knew her.
