Moses Nelson

Moses Alfred Nelson, age 87 of Sykesville, MD. Born in Stanford, North Carolina on July 24, 1929. He was the son of the late Belle & Mose Nelson. His life journey ended on Friday, April 21, 2017. He was married to his devoted wife & best friend of 52 years, Lillian P. Nelson, who affectionately calls him "Nelson." Moses retired as a Supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service Audit Processing Division in 1986 after 35 years of employment. Moses found great pleasure in bowling, drive in-movies, computer systems, home improvement, purchasing & trading of cars, day trips with his family to include the special trips to Westminster, Charlestown VA & Hanover PA. (He never left home without one of his signature hats!!) He also enjoyed participating in worship service "Praising the Lord" in his own quiet way at the Fairview United Methodist Church. Moses leaves behind to cherish his memories: devoted wife Lillian P. Nelson, beloved son Raymond Nelson & daughter in law Tanya Nelson, 3 loving grandchildren Mardi Bishop (husband Randy), Loren Nelson & Brenden Nelson, 2 great-grandchildren Aiden & Adara, 3 sisters in laws Estelle Buie, Barbara Jason & Dorothy Hollingsworth (husband Charles) special nieces Christine Jason, Karen Gray, Jackie Brown, Valerie Myers, Delores Jason, special nephews, John Turner, (Wife Denise), Jeff Jason (wife Donna), Walter Jason & Demontra Owens, a dear cousin Jean Lann (husband Bob), & a host of relatives and friends. He was truly a loving husband, father, family man & friend. Moses left this life as he lived it, quietly & peacefully. To that we say, To God Be The Glory!!
