Michael T. Lovett

Lovett, Michael Timothy, 55, of Arlington passed away on February 22, 2021. He leaves behind family and friends that will miss him dearly. Beloved son of Maureen (Flaherty) Lovett and the late Michael Lovett. Beloved husband of the late Kristin M. (Waitte) Lovett. Devoted father of Michaela Lovett and Meaghan Lovett both of Saugus. Loving brother of Joan Toomey and her husband Mike of West Medford, Mary DiPietro and her husband Michael of Chelmsford, Eileen Lovett of Arlington, Kathleen Fusco and her husband Anthony of South Hamilton, Annmarie Archer and her husband Mark of Arlington, Charles Lovett and his wife Jennifer of Arlington and Erin Travassos and her husband Luis of Stoughton. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Michael grew up in Arlington, MA. He graduated Minuteman Technical High School in 1983 and moved onto Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where he studied Civil Engineering. Afterwards, Michael worked as an engineer at Bechtel Engineering, then moved onto working as a Union Carpenter and started his own business known as Minuteman Carpentry. Through his humor and wide span of knowledge, Michael could connect to anyone he encountered. He always knew a little bit about everything. Michael’s charismatic personality made him easy to get along with. He had many friends. Michael’s hobbies consisted of reading books about economics and history, eating delicious food of all sorts, biking, walking, drinking Dunkins’ and spending time with his two daughters. One did not have to know Michael for very long to learn that he would help anyone at any time, especially his family. He loved and cherished those around him and gave each day his best. He will be missed by all. May he rest in peace with his late wife, Kristin Lovett. A private funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 27th at 11:00 am in St. Raphael Church, Medford. Immediate family and close friends of Michael are invited. Please do not feel obligated to attend if you are not comfortable doing so. Please visit saintraphaelparish.org to view a live stream of the funeral mass. Burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at approximately 12:00 pm. Please meet at the front gate of the cemetery 70 Medford St., by 11:45 am to join the procession to the grave.
