O. Warren Creelman

O. Warren Creelman, of Auburn, died peacefully on the morning of Saturday November 16, 2019 in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was 92 years old. Born and raised in Auburn, Warren was one of five sons born to Orland A. and Dorothy R. (Ramsdell) Creelman. He was educated in Worcester, graduating from Worcester Boys’ Trade High School in 1945. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served toward the end of World War II. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked as a Machinist for Reed and Prince in Worcester. Subsequently, Warren enrolled at the Famous Artists’ School, where he developed his exceptional talents as a commercial artist. He was employed as a commercial artist/illustrator for Cooney and Corner Advertising in Worcester for many years. In 1969, he opened Creelman Advertising Studio, in Auburn, which he owned and operated with his beloved wife, the late Donna M. (White) Creelman for over thirty years. Warren enjoyed art, wood-carving, painting, and tending to his garden. He liked spending time and boating on the Cape, where he had a home for over twenty years in West Dennis. Warren spent a lifetime being an exceptional caregiver, which was just one of his many talents. Warren is survived by his three sons, John W. Creelman and his wife Sharon of West Boylston, James W. Creelman and his wife Patricia of Auburn, and Joel W. Creelman and his wife Karen, also of Auburn; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, David Creelman of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. Warren was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and three brothers, the late Robert, Richard, and Howard Creelman. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Creelman family between 4:00 and 7:00 PM on Thursday November 21, 2019 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday November 22, 2019 at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, MA. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Mass Hospice-VNA of Southern Worcester County, 191 Pakachoag Street, Auburn, MA 01501
