Agnes B. Healey, 91, a Beverly resident for the last fifty-five years, passed away peacefully at home among family and friends on April 11, 2011.
Born in Salem, the daughter of Joseph A. and Isabel (Dowdell) Cormier, Agnes attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Girl’s School and St. Mary’s Commercial School of Salem. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always had time for anyone who stopped to enjoy her company. She loved spending time with family and friends on the pond in Maine, and was an avid bowler and devoted Red Sox fan.
She was a homemaker who raised eight children and worked as a secretary earlier in her life and a home health aide and caretaker well into her eighties. She was predeceased by her beloved children Patrick J. Healey, Brian P. Healey and Katie E. Healey.
She leaves a loving husband, Thomas J. Healey Sr., with whom she shared sixty-nine years of marriage. She is survived by her sons Thomas J. Healey Jr. (of Tennessee), Michael J. Healey, Dennis V. Healey, Timothy K. Healey (all of New Hampshire), Terence A. Healey (of Beverly) and her grandson Tyler G. Besse (who resided with her). She also leaves many more grandchildren whom she cherished and adored during her lifetime. She is also survived by her sister Theresa Rhodes (of Newburyport). She will be deeply loved and missed by her family and friends.
Her funeral service will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Friday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
