BEVERLY - Alice L. (Standley) Carfagno passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on November 15, 2016.
Known as “Ginger” in her youth, she lived in Beverly most of her life. She was married for 62 years to Matthew J. Carfagno, who died in 2007. Together they raised three daughters, Donna Panos of FL, Cheryl Weldon of Salem and Rita Fallen of Beverly. She enjoyed long, close friendships with many wonderful families in the neighborhood. She participated in several activities at the Senior Center in Beverly and grew quite fond of this special group of friends. She retired from the former Holyoke Insurance Company in Salem after twenty-eight years, and kept in touch with the “Forever Friends”.
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Tony and Alysia Panos of FL and Mike Fallen of NY; her great grandchildren, Elson and Julian of FL and Michelle, Brennan and Callahan of NY; and dear family Anna and Ron Standley of Mansfield and Brad Standley of VT. She was predeceased by her grandson Nick Panos and her brother Arch Standley.
