Alicyn Miriam (Jardine) Davis - 79 years young went home to be with our Lord Jan. 5th, 2014 . She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Boston Medical Center after a courageous battle with Amyloidosis.
Alicyn known as “Allie” was born in Cape Elizabeth, Maine to Frances Elizabeth (Doughty) Jardine and Howard Hubert Jardine on Dec. 19, 1934. She was married to Frances W. She had a compassionate heart for those in need and would offer many hugs and kind words. Her bright smile and gregarious laugh would light up any room that she entered, causing people to be drawn to her at any gathering.
Besides spending time with her children, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, she loved cherished times spent with her friends. Whether it was an afternoon lunch, a night out, or her beloved cruises, she always enjoyed times of friendship and laughter. She also treasured her yearly vacations with her sisters to Boothbay Harbor rejoicing in shopping for little trinkets and eating great food. Her biggest joy was just spending time with her extended family. She loved family gatherings, celebrating holidays, walking the streets of Newburyport at Christmas time, and just having special moments with those she held dear. Most importantly she loved the Lord and you could find her listening and singing to her beloved Gaither Gospel Music.
She leaves behind her five sons and three daughters: Gayle and her husband Arthur Brunet of Danvers, Randy and his wife Maryann of Beverly, Lisa and her husband Jeff Ryan of Salem, Richard of Salem, Robert and his wife Jeanne of Greene ME, Darryl and his wife Gina of Peabody, Wendi Mattos of Salem, and Christopher and his wife Sharon of Peabody.
