Obituary for Ann M. Heffernan

Beverly - Ann M. (Drislane) Heffernan 75, beloved wife of the late Henry G. Heffernan, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Ledgewood Health Care Center in Beverly.
Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late David and Ruth (Cashman) Drislane. She was raised in Beverly and was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Beverly, class of 1959. She continued her education at the Salem Hospital School of Nursing for Babies and Children, class of 1960.
Mrs. Heffernan had been employed for several years as a certified nursing assistant until the time of her retirement in 2003.
A longtime resident of Beverly, she was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Beverly as well as a member of its Ladies’ Sodality of the church.
Surviving her are two daughters, Johanna Paltrineri of Lowell and Maureen Lehmann and her husband, Buddy of Tewksbury, six grandchildren, Justin Goolsby and his wife, Aislynn, Timothy Heffernan, James Callahan, Robert Paltrineri and Jessica and Joseph Lehmann, two great grandchildren, Olivia and Lorelei Goolsby, two sisters, Maureen Foley of Beverly and Kathleen Andrews and her husband, Dana of Ipswich, a brother-in-law, Daniel Foley of Beverly and several cousins including Priscilla Flynn of Beverly, Neil Dunn and his wife, Marion of Peabody.
Her funeral will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested, there will be no visiting hours. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
