BEVERLY – Arthur M. Daignault Jr., 60, husband of Patricia A. (Dorsey) Daignault, with whom he shared 36 ½ years of marriage, passed away, Sunday, April 29, 2012 at NSMC Salem Hospital. Born in Montague, Mass, he is son of the late Arthur M. Sr. and Helen (Berzinski) Daignault.
Arthur grew up in Turner Falls, MA and was a graduate of Turner Falls High School, Class of 1970. He then attended and graduated from Salem State College in 1974. Since 2002 Arthur was employed with the City of Beverly as the Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator. He worked endlessly to help the citizens of Beverly with disability issues. Arthur also made sure that the city was in compliance with the laws. When Arthur was no longer able to go to work, he continued his passion from home. He was also and avid Boston sports fan.
In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by two daughters: Jennifer L. Bass and her husband David of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Michelle E. Bailey, and her husband Seth of Salem, NH; two sisters: Marguerite Keiter and her husband William of Easthampton, and Lois Audley and her husband Christopher of Kennebunkport, ME; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Thursday from 4 to 7P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Arthur’s Memory to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
