Obituary for Benjamin T. Lindsey

BEVERLY- Benjamin T. Lindsey, age 86, died, Sunday 11-13- 2016 unexpectedly at his home. He was husband of the late Viola E. (Bernson) Lindsey. He was born and raised in Beverly. He was son of the late Clarence R. and Ella E. (Butman) Lindsey.
An honorary discharged veteran of the United states Army, serving in the Korea War.
Mr. Lindsey worked for the City of Beverly for over forty-seven years. Upon his retirement he held the position of Water Shop Foreman. He enjoyed fishing and boating, but especially loved spending time with his family.
Surviving him are two sons, Benjamin T. Lindsey Jr and his wife Terrie of Gloucester, John H. Lindsey and his wife Marie of NH; two daughters, Charlotte A. Searles and her husband George of Beverly, Alice M. Jedrey and her husband Bill of NH; a brother, Robert C. Lindsey of NH; a sister Nancy Lindsey; twelve grandchildren, Shelby Bertone and her husband Billy of Groveland, Colby Searles of Beverly, Larissa Collins and husband Nate, Lana Lindsey and friend John, Laurie Lindsey and her fiancé Frank all of Gloucester, Elizabeth Ellsworth, Edward Ellsworth and his wife Amanda, Jessica Mangano and husband Joseph, Meaghan Jedrey, Brynda Norcross, William Jedrey, James Lindsey and his wife Penny all of NH; twenty-three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Alicia E. Kempton, a brother, Francis Lindsey, four sisters, Roberta Vaccaro, Pearl Marchetere, Mabel Ward and Patricia Theriault.
