Hamilton - Bruce R. Wadleigh 75, beloved husband of Dale A. (Henderson) Wadleigh, died unexpectedly, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his home.
Born and raised in Quincy, he was the son of the late Derwood and Constance (Radford) Wadleigh. He attended the Quincy school system and graduated from the Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp.
Mr. Wadleigh had been employed for over thirty years as a quality assurance engineer for the Raytheon Company until the time of his retirement in 2006. He had also worked for over eight years at Varian Associates in Beverly.
A resident of Hamilton for the past thirty three years, he was a member of the American Legion Post 194 in Hamilton and enjoyed gardening, bowling and playing golf. He was also one of the founding members of “Enough is Enough” in Hamilton.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared nineteen years of marriage, he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer L. Wadleigh of Beverly, Kristine E. Beaulieu of Kingston, NH and Lori A. Wadleigh of Hamilton, two step-sons, Thomas LeBlanc of Hamilton and Cliff Burke of Gloucester, several grandchildren, a brother, Robert Wadleigh of CA and extended family in Florida.
His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
