Obituary for Bruce W. Turner

BEVERLY - Bruce W. Turner, 77, beloved husband of Claudette (Tache’) Turner, passed away on Monday, May 2nd at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Beverly, he is the son of the late Albert Turner and Edna (Gosbee) Turner.

Bruce grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, class of 1957. It was there he met the love of his life Claudette. They married in 1959 and raised their family in Beverly. Bruce worked as an executive chef. He ran the New England Oyster House and followed at the Bank of Boston until his retirement. When Bruce retired from cooking, he worked for the City of Beverly, driving school buses; a job he truly enjoyed. Bruce and Claudette loved to travel. They had been to every National Park in the U.S. as well as Canada. He was a true outdoorsman, having loved to hunt and fish and he was also a lifelong member of the Danvers Fish and Game. Bruce was a dedicated father to his four children, a loving husband and a great friend. He will truly be missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Claudette, he is survived by his four children: Mark A. Turner of Raymond, New Hampshire, Deborah A. Dillingham and her husband Craig of Raymond, New Hampshire, David B. Turner of Beverly and Bruce Turner, Jr. of Beverly; and one granddaughter: Brianna Turner of Raymond, New Hampshire.

Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
